My name is Sanjana Parise and I was a competitive gymnast at Carolina Gymnastics for 5 years. Starting in 2020, I have been coaching open gyms, preschool, and recreation classes. I look forward to teaching the sport that I am most passionate about and working with promising athletes! In the future, I hope to one day become a pediatric physician.
Megan Phillips competed at Carolina Gymnastics for 7 years and her favorite event was bars. She has been coaching team, rec, and preschool classes since 2018. She currently a student who plans to pursue a Physical Therapy degree in college.
My name is Emily Good, and I am from Chesapeake, Virginia. I am a junior at the University of South Carolina studying Public Health and Biology. After graduating, I hope to attend medical school to become a sports medicine doctor. I did gymnastics in Virginia from age 6 to 18 including level, excel, and high school gymnastics. My favorite events are floor and vault. I have been coaching at Carolina Gymnastics since 2019 in the recreation program. I love watching the girls progress and helping them acheive everything they can!
Susie has been coaching at Carolina since the summer of 2020. She did gymnastics for around 13 years and competitively for about 10 years. She will be attending Anderson University in the fall to study kinesiology. Susie loves teaching her preschoolers and can't wait to have another great summer!
My name is Elizabeth and I have been coaching preschool at Carolina Gymnastics since 2017. I competed with Carolina until I was 12 years old and then decided to start coaching. I am currently at Anderson University studying to become an athletic trainer. I can’t wait to help your child grow and excel in our program!
My name is Lily Sobel, and I competed for Carolina Gymnastics for three years before I started coaching open gyms! I have loved getting to know the coaching side of the sport and look forward to taking on more responsibility with more training.
My name is Katie Stephan and I am originally from Clemson, SC but I am currently a student at the University of South Carolina. When I was younger, I did gymnastics for 10 years and now I compete for the UofSC’s club team. I have been teaching at CGC since 2019 and have loved getting to know all of the athletes! In the next couple of years, I plan to graduate and find a job that utilizes my International Business and Supply Chain majors!
Hi, my name is Ivy Boyd! I was a successful competitive gymnast at Carolina Gymnastics for seven years and I am currently a varsity cheerleader. I’ve been coaching summer camp since 2018 and recently starting coaching recreation classes too. I aspire to become an orthopedic doctor when I graduate.
Hello! my name is Makenna Palmer, I was a gymnast for 7 years, reaching level 8 before stopping. I have been a gymnastics coach since 2018. I am currently a (virtual) MHA graduate student at Des Moines University. I graduated with my BA in Public Health from the University of South Carolina in December 2020. My goal for the future is to eventually be an administrator of a healthcare facility!
My name is Haley Gunter. I have been coaching gymnastics, tumbling, and cheerleading since 2016. I did gymnastics for 10 years and cheerleading for 5 years. I enjoy coaching vault and floor, while striving to see every athlete succeed.
My name is Destiny Thomas and I have been coaching since 2018. I am a cheerleader at Newberry College, double majoring in health science and exercise science. When I graduate, I hope to become a sports medicine doctor for the NFL. I did gymnastics for 4 years and competed for Carolina Gymnastics as a Silver and Gold. I won multiple State and Regional Championships and look forward to teaching others to love the sport as much as I do!
